Pretty much everyday new home tech comes along and promises to revolutionise the way we live.
Today (Easter Sunday) I chose to spend some quality time with my son and employed him for a spot of child labour whilst we fitted our new wireless radiator valves.
We already have Alexa (Amazon's helpful home assistant) she links very well with our Hue lighting.
Couple this with a very handy app call ITTT (If This Then That) and we can control our lighting and even (amongst many other things) be warned if it is starting to rain outside (heaven forbid we should look out of a window)
There are a few manufacturers of wireless radiator valves at the moment we have chosen to fit TADO, a German startup which seems to have hit the nail on the head.
After showing my son how to fit the frist valve, I wanted to see how easy it was, so I asked him if he would like to try and being a typical boy he was more than keen to have a go.
Once the bridge and an account was setup with TADO, it could not be easier to add in the individual radiator values.
Open the app, follow the step by step instructions, scanning QR codes, undoing radiator valves and fitting the new ones takes a couple of minutes... for a 7 year old. I'll update later in the year with how they perform, but it maybe a while as we've fitted the valves just in time for summer...
If you are considering a purchase of these valves please get in touch, we have fully trained adults who can help too!
